About Me

Hello, I’m Matt Duhamel and I’m a former TV weather forecaster and radio disc jockey. In 2005, I left the broadcasting industry and turned my attention to independent filmmaking, podcasting, and social justice issues. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to produce four documentary films and one short film which have gained online recognition and won awards at local film festivals. A few of these awards include: Best Documentary Film, Red Finch Festival; 6th Annual Utah Film Award Nominee; Official Selection, Utah Film Festival 2014; and more.

My focus in on creating films that have the power to make a difference in our communities. With my interest on social justice issues, releasing a documentary film in conjunction with a fundraiser or awareness campaign is extremely important in order to educate others on the film’s subject.

I’m currently in the development stage of a short documentary film with my film company, Metamora Films while hosting my podcast, Solitary Nation. For more information on my personal story, struggles and successes, click here.
